Designing for the Season

We always emphasize this and it's definitely an important element of our design aesthetic, but we can't say it enough - take your season into consideration when designing your wedding (your winter wonderland is going to look ridiculous in August). This is especially true when designing for outdoor ceremonies and/or reception. Consider your surroundings/venue before making any final decisions. Think not only about available flowers/greens, but also about the colors of the season.

Early spring has lots of crisp greens, hints of lavenders and purples, and blooming vines - we took these elements and included them as part of the wedding arch for an outdoor early April wedding. The arch looked like it was part of the garden and provided an organic backdrop to both the ceremony and the sweetheart table.

Wedding Giveaway Design Look 3

Today we're revealing the 3rd design look the winning National Harbor Wedding Giveaway couple got to choose from.

The inspiration for the Springtime Party came from a bright spring color palette. The focus here would be on soft metallic containers paired with bright seasonal tones, to create a romantic yet lively atmosphere. And who doesn't love a 4' candelabra?

Local DC - Cherry Blossoms

If you're allergy-prone, you might not be as excited as us about all the blooming trees, but no one can deny their beauty. Cherry blossoms are in full bloom in DC, so head on over to the mall to check them out. And what do you know - these blooming branches make a perfect centerpiece, chuppah, or boutonniere ingredient.
