Locally Sourced

This year we're trying to ramp up the amount of locally sourced items used in our work. Here's a perfect example that "local" doesn't mean "rustic". Peonies+Sweet Pea Vine are all from local Virginia farms.

Dark, Magical Forest is in store for TMR

Tomorrow we have one of our coolest weddings ever - along with the bride we've designed a dark, magical forest decor that is perfect for the Leesburg venue. We can't wait to share photos of the actual wedding but here's the style board to give you a feel for the inspiration. Have a fantastic weekend!

Weekend Recap - Woodlawn Manor's Organic Romance

Welcome back from the weekend! We hope everyone enjoyed it as much as we did.

On Saturday we spent the day prepping and setting up a gorgeous wedding at the Woodlawn Manor. We loved the concept of the wedding - the couple focused on eco-friendly and sustainable vendors. The caterer, Eat and Smile Foods, is all locally sourced and the couple even got a local beer brewer to bring in some kegs! We absolutely had to match our design to this theme and the end result was chic-rustic decor echoing our transition into fall. We used plenty of succulents, moss, dahlias, and ferns to make it all come together. We finally got an opportunity to photograph one of our weddings and sneak some images in before we get shots from the official photographer. Check them out below!

This week we have some amazing stuff coming to the blog! Make sure to come back on Wednesday when we feature DC-based fashion designers Ginger Root Design. They do amazing work and totally go with our theme this week of sustainability.
