Friday Freestyle - Farmers Market

I absolutely love shopping for bouquet ingredients at the farmers' markets, because you're not limited to just floral - you have an abundant selection of herbs and other interesting organic elements. Here's a bouquet from a few weeks back created from what we found at the market - lisianthus, basil, veronicas to mention a few:

More Locally Sourced Creations

This weekend we'll definitely be hitting up a local farmers market or two, and below is a bouquet from flowers picked up last weekend. They include lisianthus, basil, and veronicas. Enjoy the weekend and we'll be back next week with some fun DIY projects.

DBI's Flower Garden

This year we decided to grow some fresh flowers here at DBI. I picked flowers that do well locally - zinnias, celosia, and, of course, sunflowers. While everything is still in the early stages we're getting small blooms and it looks like the fall will be full of fuchsia blooms. Check out the photos from the garden:
