Real Surprise Wedding

Sometimes the stars align and you get to be a part of something extremely special. That was the case with Andrew+Rebecca's surprise wedding. The couple came to us with a brilliant vision and a surprise concept we couldn't wait to be a part of. Our design included mixed metallics, winter elements, and candlelight, transforming the Seasons Restaurant inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown into an intimate ceremony, followed by one heck of a party reception. Check out all the fun details captured by L. Hewitt Photography (these images are everything) and this video by Samantha Stark for New York Times:

National Archives

On Tuesday we were lucky enough to do floral arrangements for an event taking place at the National Archives. The venue itself is so super cool and the whole staff was amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed working here and hope we get an opportunity to come back in the very near future.

The tables were covered in a gorgeous sage linen with clear, silver rimmed chargers. We created natural, white arrangements to go with the overall soothing feel - a perfect setting for kicking off Spring. Below are a few images of one type of arrangement we created - these were a big hit, with a few being taken home by the VIPs.

The color palette for our Four Season's wedding this weekend is the complete opposite so we're slowly transitioning from creams to fuchsias, eggplant purples, and burgundies. Check back next week for preview shots.
