What's Happening This Weekend

This weekend we have two super amazing weddings and the color palettes could not be more opposite. Saturday we have a sophisticated soiree at Morais Vineyard. The bride chose eggplant purple, dark blues, and fresh greens for her colors - check out an inspiration board below (board by DBI):

Come back tomorrow to check out the cream, pale pink, and crispy green palette chosen by our Sunday bride.

DIY - Moroccan Theme

Welcome to DIY Tuesday. Today is more of an instructional post rather than a project.

Our post is inspired by a sample we did today for our Moroccan-themed wedding coming up next week. To achieve a Moroccan feel for any event go after the bright colors - fuchsias, sunset oranges, lime greens, and rich purples. These colors can come from linen, flowers, and even lights. To create a Moroccan atmosphere while achieving a modern mood offset the bright colors by using neutral elements such as metal pierced hurricanes. The bright florals balanced out by pierced metal containers add the flare without getting cheesy.

Check out our sample below - here we combine bright florals with a dark pierced metal container:
