Are you Creative? Outgoing? An Event Designer in the Making?

It's that time of year again - we're looking for our 2013 event design interns. This year is even more exciting as we've expanded our services - as a DBI Intern you will participate in anything from flower arranging to wedding day coordinating to mastering the glue gun.

What we're looking for: If you are creative, strategic, logistical master, think fast on your feet, and/or a host(ess) with the most(ess) we want you. A candidate with a positive attitude and a desire to learn will get far at DBI. We'd prefer someone with an interest/passion for events, weddings, art, fashion, flowers and/or design.

What we're not looking for: If you envision the events world as glitz and glamour this job is not for you (and you should probably re-align your expectations). If you are looking for an internship to simply get your school cred or add to the resume - this, again, is not for you.

Intern Duties: As a DBI intern you will be involved in all aspects of the business - from meeting/interacting with clients/vendors to assisting with event prep and venue scouting. All of our projects are different so the day-to-day will vary, however, we do mold our intern positions to fit the specific hired candidate (their strengths and goals/interest). We also require a minimum for event attendance - majority of our events are on the weekends so please keep that in mind when applying.

Application Process: Please email your resume, cover letter, and references to info[at]dbievents[dot]com. Your cover letter must include why you are applying at DBI/seeking an event design internship. If you send us a generic cover letter your application will not be considered. Additionally, please include your weekly availability as well as a start date.

We will begin interviews immediately, with hired candidates starting the week of March 18th.

We are excited to review the applications and meet our 2013 team!

*A flower background is not required but an interest in flowers and passion for creativity are.
