Celebrity Designs for the Everyday

A few weeks back, we picked up the US Weekly, because Lauren Conrad's wedding was on the cover. As we sifted through the pages of her lovely wedding, we came across this beautiful arch designed by Gilly Flowers and Events. This arch reminded us of the ceremony arch we designed last year at the St. Regis DC (our photos were never released, so this is not a post about a copyright and we are no implying anything of that nature). In a weird way, it made us really ecstatic to see that we're ahead of trend, creating a new slogan around the office: You don't need to be a celebrity to get celebrity-level design with DBI :)

Head on over to Lauren Conrad's website to see more from her dreamy wedding.

Sonoma Restaurant Wedding with Bonnie Sen Photography

Another October wedding that focused on a cocktail reception versus seating for everyone...could this be a new trend? Congrats E+D! We loved incorporating mercury glass with the neutral color palette of whites and greens - these elements really helped create an elevated yet inviting environment. Thank you to ADominick, Bonnie Sen Photography (check out the amazing images below!), and Sonoma Restaurant:

J+R's Real Old Town Wedding

I cannot believe it's been over a month since the last blog post but June events kept us occupied! The spring/early summer has been great and now we finally have some time to share with you what we've been doing. Today we're bringing you J+R's Old Town Wedding. The bride oozed chicness and elegance, so for this April 27th Lorien Hotel wedding we mixed mercury glass containers with square clear glass vases filled with white florals and minor green accents. As usual, we flooded the space with candles to really elevate the look. For the personals we were able to convince the bride that doing a sunset orange in April is totally not against any rules we were aware of and we're so happy for the pop of color in the ceremony! Real Wedding L+B

Back in September I had the pleasure of providing flowers for L+B's gorgeous Seneca Creek Lodge wedding. I especially enjoyed this wedding because it was totally my style - insanely large cafe au lait dahlias, seeded eucalyptus, and astilbe. The neutral colors were perfect for this day wedding. Check out these awesome shots by Lydia Jane Photography (www.lydiajane.com).

A Twist on your Greens

Today I'm heading out for a big potential client meeting, so to start off on the right foot I'm bringing an arrangement with me - wish me luck!
