Preview of the W Wedding

Happy Presidents Day!

This was one of the most intense weddings we've had and no, it was definitely not the client (sweetest bride and MOB). We had so many moving parts and elements to this design that we had everyone running around non-stop until the wedding began. Below is a sneak peek of the space - we'll of course share pictures of all the personals and close-ups when we get the official photos:

Thank you to my amazing superstar Team for your hard work - so excited about everyone who's joined us!

A Modern Black and White W Hotel Wedding

Hello readers - apologies for not posting for what has now been two weeks (wowzas). We've been super busy getting prepped for our weddings this weekend. The bigger wedding is at W Hotel and I can't wait! It's a black and white wedding with minor green accents. We get to play with such fun ingredients as black and white anemones, white freesia, and of course a February favorite - ranunculus. You'll see some new stuff in this wedding, such as a composite bouquet (I know! SO excited!). We'll be back next week with some new additions to our Vintage Rentals and some new exciting articles. In the meantime, here are a few images from the studio of what we'll be using this weekend:

Gold Ingots

Our Willard wedding this weekend is full of metallics, whites, and water elements. We'll be using antique gold-framed mirrors (part of our vintage rentals) as well as submerged florals. We are also incorporating something a little unusual - gold ingots. Gold ingots are ancient chinese gold medium for exchanging expensive goods. They are made to look like a smiley face because gold ingots trigger happiness when one sees it. Gold ingots have been designed by ancient Feng Shui masters with a perfect shape to emit wealth chi.

These little goodies are part of the bride's culture and add a personalized element to the overall decor.

Friday Happy Hour - Let's be Nice to Your Friends

Happy Friday everyone!

The weekend is here and for those of you in the DC Metro area you have Crafty Bastards to look forward to.

We wanted to take this opportunity to quickly remind the brides out there to be nice to your best gal pals and avoid ...how do we put this nicely...fashion catastrophes. It'll just be more ammo for your kids years from now.
