As a design studio, we are always sourcing inspiration. We don't just leave the house - we leave the house on the hunt for the unique, the pretty, and the interesting. There seems to be a huge misconception out there that when it comes to wedding design inspiration "pinterest weddings" are the only option. While pinterest is a great tool to collect ideas, and see what's been done, don't underestimate the power of the every-day. Door knobs, necklaces, wallpaper, etc can all make great inspiration. Colors, textures, and patterns can be drawn from unexpected places, which is why we've teamed with Audra Wrisley Photography+Design to bring you a new series on the blog we're calling "Inspire Me Mondays". Every monday we'll bring you ideas from the everyday that can be incorporated into your wedding design.
Let's kick off this series with a bold color palette inspired by the Southwest. Teal, blue, and red make an impact and are not an obvious wedding color combination. You never have to be in-your-face with your theme/inspiration - replace your basic white votives with teal candles, add a rich red necklaces to the bridesmaids' attire, and invite your guests to enjoy a made-to-order guacamole station during cocktail hour.
