Is Your "Wedding Planner" Telling You The Truth??

A big part of DBI Events is the floral design and while my fave planners know the drill I find it that many couples come to us too late. I blame "wedding planners" (this can be an actual planner or a bridal book) - someone developed a formulated calendar with a "checklist" and it somehow became the Bible timeline for booking vendors. The wedding market has changed and the clients that follow this "outdated" checklist calendar might lose out on their picks. This checklist fails to account for couples being much more educated about their vendors and choosing these vendors early in the planning stages.

SO - in an effort to ensure wedding couples get a fair shot at booking their specific floral designer (or other vendor) here's a public announcement: do NOT wait until 2 months out to book him/her. I strongly suggest contacting your designer at least four months out, if not six. The saying "early bird gets the worm" also applies to planning a wedding.

In other news - we did it again! Wedding Wire Rated 2012! A big THANK YOU to all of our clients who left us reviews - we so truly appreciate it.
