Hello and welcome back. I hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend - how nice was the weather??
I can't be more excited about 2012 and all of the events DBI has coming up. With the new year you'll see some changes - to include the blog! We'll be reformatting to fit more of the good stuff. Aside from sharing our real weddings I want to bring in more design inspiration, product sharing, vendor spotlights, tasty recipes, and overall hosting tips. It takes more than gorgeous flowers to make a successful event :)
Today I'd like to share one of our favorite weddings of 2011 - B&H's wedding at the Carnegie Institute for Science. The amazing Kelly Prizel shot this wedding - there are so many more shots that I'll be sharing with you - this is just a sneak preview! This totally personalized wedding was planned by Candy Borales, of Candy + Co. Colors were grey, mustard yellow, and white. I love love love all of the printed material (a combination of Candy + Co and Little Bird Creative) and the overall whimsy of this celebration. Check out the images below:
We created 10 different yellow and white bouquets for the female attendants. Yes - TEN different ones :)
I love clients who like to make a bold statement - these chivari chairs did just that
We created a floating alter of suspended yellow and white pomanders with mirror and crystal garland
Lemons anchored manzanita branches, which suspended glass spheres with votives
The floating alter created a great decor element during the dance portion of the evening
