Since yesterday I published an entry about invites I decided to stick with that theme and give you a DIY invite idea that will also be a great keepsake.
If you're considering DIY invites but writing 100 invites in calligraphy is not up your alley don't worry there's an easier solution - custom made rubber stamps. I've recently ordered a stamp for my own wedding invites from Simon Stamps. It's simple - you pick the size of stamp you need and then fill out a template with the wanted text. Once you place an order you get a confirmation (and if the stamp experts think your text will look better in a different format they'll let you know) and then the stamp is shipped out super quickly. Aside from getting a text stamp you can also get an image stamp made - imagine a horizontal invite with a custom image stamped on the left side and the text stamped on the right (example below). And the best part - your stamps become your keepsakes!

Another great way to personalize your invites is to get a Martha Stewart border puncher. They come in different varieties and sizes. You can use these to not only personalize the border of your invites but also the edges of your envelopes. This adds character and your guests will be impressed.

With the largest stamp running about $57, a border puncher averaging $14, parchment paper (80 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11) at $7, social envelopes $10 for 50, and an ink pad for $5 you're looking at $93 for you invites! That's right - instead of spending thousands of dollars on your invites you can send those suckers out under $100! You're welcome :)
Customizing and saving money is the motto around Designs by iBi so grab your man, your woman, or your party helpers and make your own invites!

Thanks for writing about Simon's Stamps! We think you're way cooler than Martha Stewart.
