It's the beginning of a new week and this week's inspiration, from local grounds with floral guns blazing and soft Virginia charm, is the ever-so-talented Janie Medley (of Janie Medley Flora Design). This Richmond-based talented floral designer and incredibly successful blogger imbues an inspirational aura, both through her work and glowing personality. AND! Today is her birthday!!! Happy birthday Janie!
Last week I had the opportunity to chat with Janie on the phone - I was interested not only about the origins of her inspiration, but also how her blog, The Bride's Cafe, has become so widely popular. She took the time to share some great tips about reaching the right fan-base and about getting a floral business off the ground and running.
Janie frequents floral markets and specialty shops for out-of-the-box design ideas, and her bouquets are known to be some of the most beautiful in the industry. If you want to book Janie I suggest doing this far in advance - she's a busy lady and a hot commodity :)
Janie not only inspires us because of our mutual love for mason jars or because her floral designs are so amazing, but also because she was so quick to generously give a helping hand when her own schedule is so booked! This week we salute you - Janie Medley!
